Are you up for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends? Are looking for something to give you the edge in life? Then welcome to the Air Training Corps. We're the UK-wide cadet force with more than 40,000 members between 13 and 20 years.
We're sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do.
Gliding
The Air Cadet Organisation has a large fleet of Grob Viking T1 gliders based all around the UK. Cadets from 2238 (Warminster) Sqn are affiliated with 625 Volunteer Gliding School at RAF Hullavington. Typically cadets visit the 625VGS four times a year receiving several flights during each visit - depending on the weather.
Cadets may be selected to undertake a Gliding Scholarship which provides them with the training necessary to fly the Viking solo.
